Dress smartly for interview, for scope make sure you have a good solid pair of shoes/boots.
Don't be afraid to ask questions but just make sure that they are at a time where the officers are able to answer. I.E. Not at a dommie or with the public hanging around.

So suit and tie for the interview, are steel cap work boots ok for scope and should i take cake along on the 1st night?

Yes, probably not if they LOOK like steel caps boots and no.

do you wear dress shoes and tie for scope how long does it take after passing testing and booking in for scope to get onto waiting list?

I wore black safety boots that I wore in the hotel I worked in so they looked like shoes. Wear a tie at the start and check with the Sgt or Snr Sgt as to if they want you to wear it all the time.

I just completed SCOPE. It was fun and you will enjoy it Be prepared to get involved and assist the officers when needed. It definately gives you a better idea as to whether the job is right for you.
